So February celebrates the return of the MIGHTY Bloody Beetroots to the shores of the UK and London in particular (it's been over half a year since they destroyed the now defunct Sin Club just off Oxford Street p.s. FUCK YOU CROSSRAIL) and this time they're returning to Egg Club in Kings Cross on February 27th with London's awesome Punks Jump Up; I, for one, cannot wait. 2009 so far has been a good year for electro and house and with MSTRKRFT releasing their hotly anticipated second album "Fist of God" soon, Shadow Dancer releasing his long awaited debut "Golden Traxe" next monday (23rd of February) and Yuksek's "Away from the sea" on constant repeat since its release earlier this month there's been little let up of quality tracks to get ahold of and with the new Tiga album on the way it looks like the best is yet to come. Just like to make an honourable mention to Boy Boy's excellent remix of Congorock's (already brilliant) Exodus. Check it out! As much as I don't want to mention it, Scottish electro twerp Calvin Harris has caught a whiff of the inevitable (in my opinion) trance revival of 2009 (Thanks Deadmau5) and has put out his new song "I'm not alone" that I WANT to hate with all my heart but it literally gets to me every time. Damn you Harris. Roll on summer. So ignore the relentless cold outside and warm yourself up to these future summer anthems.
